6th Grade Treble Choir
6th grade Treble Choir members are 6th grade girls. We focus on basic rhythm skills, singing fundamentals, and lots of unison singing. At the end of the year, 6th Grade Treble may choose to audition for Advanced Treble Choir, or be placed in Intermediate Treble Choir. 6th grade Tenor Bass will automatically be placed in Tenor-Bass Choir.
Intermediate Tenor-Bass Choir
Intermediate Tenor- Bass Choir are members that are in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade including those who were not in Krimmel choir in 6th grade. Our goal is to improve music reading skills, build tonal memory for sight-reading and helping the development of the young male voice. Eligible members of this choir will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in March. Members will have multiple opportunities throughout the year to move up Advanced Tenor-Bass Choir. At the end of the year, members will be prepared to move into high school choir, audition for Advanced Tenor-Bass Choir, or continue in Intermediate Tenor-Bass choir at Krimmel.
Intermediate Treble Choir
Intermediate Treble Choir are members that are in 7th or 8th grade including those who were not in Krimmel choir in 6th grade. These students typically have prior choral singing experience. Our goal is to improve music reading skills, basic rhythm skills, along with intervallic relationships, sightreading, and tonal memory. Eligible members of this choir will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in March. By the end the year, students in this choir should be prepared to audition for Advanced Treble if they choose, or continue to be a member of Intermediate Treble Choir.
Advanced Tenor-Bass Choir
Advanced Tenor-Bass Choir are auditioned members that are in 7th or 8th grade. Students continue to develop techniques of choral balance, vocal blend, and strong sight-reading skills in addition to studying advanced choral literature. Members of this choir typically have at least one year of Krimmel Choir experience. Eligible members of this choir will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in March. All members of this choir are strongly encouraged to audition for the All-Region Choir in March. At the end of the year, members will be prepared to move into high school choir, or continue in choir at Krimmel.
Advanced Treble Choir
Advanced Treble Choir are auditioned members that are in 7th or 8th grade. Students continue to develop techniques of choral balance, vocal blend, and strong sight-reading skills in addition to studying advanced choral literature. Eligible members of this choir will compete in UIL Concert and Sight-Reading Contest in March. All members of this choir are required to audition for the All-Region Choir in March. This choir has additional performance requirements throughout the school year. At the end of the year, members will be prepared to move into high school choir, or continue in choir at Krimmel.
