Ms. Hartleip, head director of the Krimmel Intermediate Choirs
Ms. Hartleip earned her bachelors from the University of Northern Iowa where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in college, Ms. Hartleip participated in the Presidential Scholars Program, the University Honors Program, and many musical ensembles. She served as a soloist, section leader, and accompanist for multiple choirs. She was the president of the student chapter of the American Choral Directors Association, where she piloted a mentorship program for incoming freshman choral music education majors. In 2021, she had the honor of serving as Assistant Music Director for the debut of a music theater production, “The Suffragist”, under the musical direction of Dr. Rebecca Burkhardt.
Ms. Hartleip is driven by her passion to help students grow and fall in love with choral music. She believes in developing life long musicians through the discipline of choir and uses choir as a tool to teach that you can work hard and still have fun. She is thrilled to be joining the Krimmel Choir Family and is looking forward to a year full of music making with her students.
